A Look at the Triple Crown of Boat Racing

An expert in the direct marketing industry, Russell “Rusty” Rahm believes that success is based on the relentless pursuit of innovation. Also an entrepreneur, Rusty Rahm has founded marketing firms, including Publishers Renewal Service, Subco, and Leading Edge Technology Strategies, on top of his work as a commercial real estate developer.

Outside of his professional engagements, Mr. Rahm enjoys boating and owns Wake Effects, LLC, a retail and boat dealership that offers a wide range of safety lessons and watersport instruction. Wake Effects, which is located in Osage Beach, Missouri, also fields a powerboat racing team that won the Triple Crown of boat racing in 2016.

To claim boat racing's Triple Crown, the Wake Effects team had to win the Super Boat International Offshore World Championships in Key West, Florida. The team had first won the powerboat class in two other races: the National Championships and the Florida Circuit. The Super Boat International event, which was founded in 1989, features courses that average five miles in length and boating speeds of 180 miles per hour. With Mr. Rahm driving, the team claimed victory against a field of 43 boats.
